Getting Lippy: Chanel Rouge Allure '64'

After reviewing my first Chanel lipstick a couple of weeks ago, Rouge CoCo Shine in 'chance' (link!), I was completely blown away. The texture, colour and smell were amazing, not to mention the hydrating formula made me fall in love even more.. as if that was even necessary?! 

The story of this lipstick.. I was watching TOWIE and saw one of the girls Georgina Dorsett wearing this bright red gorgeous coral colour..

Needless to say, I fell in love with it at once. After the show she tweeted saying that it was Chanel I made it a personal mission (I know, complete saddo) to find the exact shade. And here it is; Rouge Allure in 64 'Enthusiast'.

This shade was sold out at my 3 nearest Chanel counters! It is a beautiful bright corally red. The packaging feels very James Bond-ey as it is sleek black and gold and the bottom gold bit clicks out before you can apply the lipstick.  Here are some swatches and how it looks on my lips with and without flash.

Similar to MAC's Russian Red, but much brighter and a more flattering finish. Another thing I find great about this is, don't get me wrong, a totally useless detail, but the way that 'CHANEL' is printed in to the actual lipstick. I missed this feature on my Rouge CoCo Shine :( and the packaging is different too, it feels a bit bigger.

The smell and colour payoff is incredible, as usual and the packaging makes me melt. However, this one downer (waaaah!) is that it's not as hydrating as my other Chanel lipstick. I think this is just the particular finish of the Rouge Allure collection, daaaym!

However, still very much in love and enjoying it. It makes your teeth look fantastically bright white too, and so it should for £24! Behind the cheesy smiling swatches, I, along with my bank account, are crying!!
