Topshop Nail Tattoos

Nail Tattoos: Topshop £7
I am a heeeeeeeeuuuge fan of the Topshop makeup and I always pop in to see if anything catches my eye.. If you follow me on twitter, you will have seen that today I snapped up these temporary black nail tattoos. These caught my eye a few times while browsing Topshop on the interwebz but they were never there for me in the store. I am a massive fan of nail art, as my regular blog readers will know and these 86 little mystic patterns were made up mostly of star sign symbols but had some swallows thrown in for good measure. These are part of the Sisters of the New Moon Collection and cost £7.
These were so easy to apply, just with a little water. I stuck to a white base coat with the black swallow transfers and I think the results are preeeeetty cooool. I'm pleased with how they have come out, not too bad for a first attempt. It's a great idea and it's not as fiddly as you think, it only took me like 5 minutes. I hope Topshop bring out some more patterns, I'll definitely be giving them a go and for £7 there's not much to lose is there?

The prices were an absolute bargain and they actually fit me perfectly, and a size 8 is the exact length of my little shorty legs. A couple of bits in here, mainly lip products, I had already written about, but felt that I should include in my mahooosive spree post! I feel like I have been neglecting my little bloggywog lately, I'm sorry. My university work is a killer right now, so obviously.. this wasn't the end of my spending..
Everyone needs a good old Yankee Candle to relax to!
Lots of outfit posts coming up.. Hope you have a beautiful weekend, shame about the weather!

Cleaning Make Up Brushes

I don't know about you lovely ladies, but I find washing my makeup brushes such a chore! So much so, that sometimes I just buy new brushes rather than cleaning my old ones. It can take me about an hour to wash and all day to dry them so I hardly ever do it *slaps on wrist!* However my poor Sigma F80 was becoming almost unusable because it was so caked up with junky foundation, thinking about all the bacteria that must have been lingering there makes me feel sick haha. Anyway, I have just bought the ELF brush shampoo, and the daily brush cleaner too which is a spray, seems quick and easy so I was dying to give them a go. For £3 each, I'm not complaining.
The ELF shampoo smells lovely, it's soft and lathers up nicely in a bowl of warm water. It doesn't get rid of deep caked in makeup such as foundation very well. I did have to give my F80 a few washes before the water running through it started turning orange. The spray is excellent for spot cleaning small brushes but is hopeless with big complexion brushes. The spray is meant to be used daily, and the shampoo weekly. But who knows if I would ever stick to that..
Before buying this I used Johnson's good old baby shampoo which is beautiful but I am still looking for something that will give my brushes a really deep clean and make them soft and white again! Apparently hand wash is good?! Let me know what you use to clean your brushes, AND what is the makeup brush you couldn't live without?

Eyes: Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze', No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara
Lips: L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipstick in 'Cheeky Magenta'
It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friiiiday! Here's what I wore today, despite England failing to make it's mind up on the weather. My dress is from Superdry, denim gilet is Topshop and the hair bow and plimsoles are from, yep you guessed it, good old Primark. I am also wearing a gorgeous gold hamsa necklace that I found, similar to the one and only Lauren Conrad (my heart beats!) from accessorize for £8. :) I am also in the middle of uploading a haul video to youtube, so keep your eyes open!
Happy Friday everyone :) hope you all have a nice weekend, let me know what you're getting up to!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scub

Hello lovelies! While I was out shopping today I picked up a few bits but I love this so much I had to blog about it and share it with you straight away! I'm sure most of you have heard of the Lush lip scrubs, and particularly the lovely bright pink 'Bubblegum'. I have only ever tried a few Lush products before that I got for birthdays and Christmas but today I had a purpose! I picked up this gorgeous little pot of sugar for just under a fiver and it has blown me away. Chapped lips are never on the agenda, and seeing as I have been buying more than my fair share of lipsticks lately I am on a mission to get my lips in to really good condition. You simply buff and polish this lovely sugary scrub in to your lips and then because it is sugar you can just lick it all off! I am so girly, so naturally gravitated towards the lovely bright pink candy floss flavoured Bubblegum pot. My lips feel so soft afterwards, my mouth tastes great and it smells lush. See what I did there! 100% recommended. I'm going to enjoy using more of this, my mum loves it too. I'm thinking of eating this instead of dinner tonight.
My lips are now extremely kissable!
Are lush lips on your agenda ;)?

lovely rose.

Oh seriously, like I need any more lipsticks. The new L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks were an opportunity I couldn't miss out on, and you guys know what a sucker I am for hyped products (think back to my lip butters!). I am so in to all these hydrating lipsticks at the moment, they seem to have just exploded out of nowhere, I'm just buying them all up like cookies! My favourite shade, along with lots of other people on the blogosphere is number 3 'Lovely Rose'.
They remind me so much more of my Chanel Rouge CoCo shine's and this is very similar to my favourite Chanel shade in 'Chance'. They apply pretty much identically and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in the formulation if the packaging was removed. I actually prefer these to the Revlon Lip Butters that I love so much, and that really is saying something! They both retail for £7.99.. the game is on!!
Awkward posey pic so that you can see what it looks like applied. I am IN LOVE! Also, herro to my new followers! I have been filming with Skippy all day so we have a nice new haul video that should be up soon! :)

hello petal.

Trousers: Holiday   |   Wedges: Aldo
I am totally in to printed trousers at the moment.. see my River Island post! I have been seeing floral trousers everywhere for ages, and finally managed to get hold of a pair that I liked while I was on holiday last week. These were like 15 euros in a little beach store, so an absolute bargain, and the best thing about buying abroad is that you know no one else will be wearing the same thing. Well unless you have the freakiest coincidence ever.. but anyway. I prefer these to the big bold flower print trousers here in the UK that can make you look like curtains, these are a bit more dainty and wearable. I know they won't be everyone's cup of tea but I reeeeeally like them, the brown bow belt is part of the trousers as well so double win!
Are you in to florals right now? Do you like my trousers :)?

O.P.I : Mod About You

So it's Friday the 13th, but I have been very lucky to find my new favourite pink polish! O.P.I's 'Mod About You' I had seen this shade everywhere, and had a manicure with this polish once. It's kind of another Flip Flop Fantasy situation where I kept putting it off and finally gave in a year later. I'm really enjoying these brights at the moment and with most O.P.I products it is very chip resistant and smooth. I am so impressed! I love colours that make you look a lot more tanned than you actually are, in fact, I love it so much, I took pictures in a few different lights so that you could see just how pretty this baby pink is.
I also used this with O.P.I's Ridge Filler and RapiDry TopCoat. I'm not affiliated in anyway with O.P.I, I just reckon that they are the best out there at the moment. I also believe in splashing out on your nails.. you wear them everyday right?! I'm gonna be alternating between this and China Glaze's FFF all summer.
Do you like it? Have a nice weekend lovelies!
P.S. come be my friend and say hi to me on twitter, I'm really enjoying getting to know you lovely lot on there! :)

River Island Print Pants

Trousers: River Island   |   Sandals, Ring & Cardigan: Primark
I have been finding all sorts of cool trousers at the moment, I love when the sun comes out because it's such a good excuse to ditch the boring jeans and uggs combo I've been rocking for months on end. I have just got back from holiday so had a catch up with some friends at a seaside nearby and it was still pretty warm so I went for something comfy and casual, and this outfit ticked all the boxes. I also like this look because it's something that looks cool with flats, and lets face it, who wants to battle a pebbly beach in heels.
I thought I'd also include a cheeky FOTD, haven't featured any for a while thanks to crappy skin, but all it took was a bit of sun to sort me out. Happy days!
Face: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Benefit Coralista blush, Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzer.
Eyes: Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes Kit E/S, Mac Kohl Liner, Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara.
Lips: Topshop Lipstick 'Nevada'.
In other news..
I'm all out of books, and looking for something good to read, any suggestions greatly welcomed!

Have a lovely day everyone! Hope you are all well.

Topshop Lipstick: Nevada

I am a sucker for lipsticks, so naturally I gravitated towards these when I tiptoed around Topshop's makeup range for the first time. If you're looking for something a bit more exciting than your drugstore average lippy but don't want to break the bank these are a fantastic alternative. Very comparable to MAC lipsticks in consistency and staying power but for only £8.
My favourite  lip shades are always nudes, we just get on, like Ben and Jerry. I picked up a nice creamy brown nude in the shade 'Nevada', a lovely staple colour and beginner to the collection. The packaging alone would be reason to try one, very sturdy thin metal rounded with a flat top and bottom for easy storage.
You can see it swatched on my hand that it is still quite pink which is a plus plus plus. It's very natural and flattering. I like this, it can be a tiny bit drying like most lipsticks, and it's not replacing my Revlon Lip Butters just yet. But this is great for the price, and I like to team it with a smokey eye and it looks great with a tan.
New obsession alert! These also have a bit of shine to them so you aren't left looking like a matte chapped up barbie. I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the collection. Next on my list is 'Infrared'.
Help my habit..
what other shades would you recommend?

HOW TO: Spring Pastel Water Marbled Nails

I have been a very busy bee recently and tweeted a picture of my pastel water marbled nails. I had no idea how or if this was going to work but I found a great tutorial on YouTube using darker colours. I decided to make it a bit more 'spring' and tried it out for myself with my Barry M pastels. I think they look pretty cool! I'm so happy with how they turned out, I'm not gonna lie, it took ages, and I did have to re-do a few blobby nails. I think they are pretty original and eye-catching, so if you're interested, let me tell you how!
You will need:
A small bowl of water
Toothpick
Cotton pads and buds
Nail polish remover
your favourite pastel nail polishes

Let's get started:
Paint you nails with a base colour, I chose two coats of white, I'd recommend this if you're using pale colours
Get your bowl of water and add a drop of you pastel nail polish in to the middle
Add another colour, and so on until you are happy. I'd recommend 2 or 3 to get started! (Do this quickly or it will dry out)
Using the toothpick, gently pull the edges of the polish in to any pattern that you'd like
Place your nail down on top of the edge of the colours then push your finger down in to the water for 10 seconds (you have to do this one by one, waaah!)
One your nail is immersed pull the excess nail polish on the surface away from your finger with a toothpick
Lift your nail out slowly and use nail polish remover to clean around the nail, use cotton buds for the cuticles!
All that's left to do is to add a top coat, and you're good to go!
Experimenting with the different patterns!
Let me know what you think! Have you ever tried water marbled nails?
